Do you pay for advertising or are you a viral marketer?

Personally, I've never spent any money on launching a paid advertising campaign for any of my online projects. However, I do consider myself to be a viral marketer. So, a lot of my sites have managed to grow because of seo, links on related websites, forum signatures, blogs and/or reviews.

I'm also a content writer, so I'm able to come up with new unique content quite easily. Being a viral marketer isn't really easy, but I've been working online since the early 2000's, so I'm quite experienced at what I do.

So, do you pay for advertising or do your sites grow virally?
